Age of Empires 2

In this real-time strategy game, your primary objective is to build a thriving civilization and defeat your opponents. Start by commanding your villagers to gather essential resources: food, wood, gold, and stone. Use these resources to construct town centers, houses, and military buildings. As your economy grows, research technologies at your town center to advance through four distinct historical ages, unlocking stronger units and advanced structures.

Balance your economy by constantly training new villagers while building a diverse army of infantry, archers, cavalry, and siege engines. Scout the map early to locate enemy positions and resource deposits. Defend your territory with walls, towers, and castles, and coordinate tactical assaults to destroy enemy landmarks and military forces.

If the keyboard does not respond, click the game screen first and check the actual key mappings in the player controls. Arrow keys scrolling the page can mean the game does not have input focus.

On a phone, check whether the player provides touch buttons. Try landscape or fullscreen if the controls are too small. After connecting a gamepad, press a button with the game focused and check whether the player recognizes it.

For a black screen or a stalled load, wait briefly before using Reload player or Browse games in the embedded player or play page. Reloading restarts the player and may lose unsaved progress. If no save option is available, do not rely on refreshing to preserve progress.
