In Mega Man: Battle & Chase, the objective is to win races across various tracks inspired by classic Mega Man stages. Each character pilots a unique vehicle and can use their signature weapon, like Mega Man's Mega Buster, to attack opponents or defend themselves.
The core gameplay involves racing while managing your weapon energy, which depletes with use but can be replenished by collecting energy capsules on the track. Drifting around corners is essential for maintaining speed, and hitting jumps correctly can give you a temporary boost.
As a beginner, focus on learning the track layouts and mastering the drift mechanic to avoid crashing into walls. In the middle of the race, use your special weapon strategically to slow down rivals ahead of you or destroy incoming projectiles.
During tense final laps, conserve energy for defensive moves if you are in the lead, or use a full-power attack to overtake opponents just before the finish line.
If the keyboard does not respond, click the game screen first and check the actual key mappings in the player controls. Arrow keys scrolling the page can mean the game does not have input focus.
On a phone, check whether the player provides touch buttons. Try landscape or fullscreen if the controls are too small. After connecting a gamepad, press a button with the game focused and check whether the player recognizes it.
For a black screen or a stalled load, wait briefly before using Reload player or Browse games in the embedded player or play page. Reloading restarts the player and may lose unsaved progress. If no save option is available, do not rely on refreshing to preserve progress.
