In Tom and Jerry in House Trap, you primarily control Jerry the mouse as you navigate through different rooms of a house filled with obstacles and traps. Your main objective is to collect cheese pieces while avoiding Tom and other hazards.

Use Jerry's agility to run, jump, and climb across furniture and household objects. You can set various traps like dropping objects or using springboards to temporarily disable Tom when he chases you.

Each level requires strategic planning to lure Tom into your traps while gathering all required items. The game features multiple playable characters including Nibbles and Tuffy, each with unique abilities that help solve specific puzzles.

Focus on learning the layout of each room and the patterns of Tom's movements to successfully complete each stage. As you progress, the levels become more complex with additional enemies and environmental challenges requiring precise timing and trap placement.

If the keyboard does not respond, click the game screen first and check the actual key mappings in the player controls. Arrow keys scrolling the page can mean the game does not have input focus.
