Madden NFL 2002

Your primary goal is to lead your chosen NFL team to victory by outscoring your opponent. On offense, you select plays from a playbook, control the quarterback to pass or hand off the ball, and aim to gain yards and score touchdowns.

On defense, you select formations and control a player to tackle ball carriers, intercept passes, or sack the quarterback. A key beginner strategy is to master a few reliable offensive plays, like short passes or outside runs, and learn to read the defense to avoid turnovers.

In the early game, focus on establishing a balanced attack and avoiding mistakes. During tense moments, such as a crucial fourth down or the final two minutes, manage the game clock carefully and prioritize safe, high-percentage plays to secure the win.
