Metal Slug 3

Metal Slug 3 is a side-scrolling run-and-gun game where players control soldiers battling through enemy forces. The core objective is to survive each stage, defeat bosses, and rescue POWs for bonus points and weapons.

Players move with the joystick, jump to avoid obstacles, and shoot enemies with their primary weapon while collecting power-ups like Heavy Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers, and Flame Shots. The game features vehicles called Metal Slugs that provide enhanced firepower and protection.

Early in a run, focus on learning enemy patterns and conserving special weapons for tougher encounters. The middle stages introduce branching paths and environmental hazards, requiring careful navigation.

Tense moments occur during boss fights, where dodging patterns and targeting weak points are crucial. Beginners should prioritize rescuing POWs for extra lives and practice using different weapon types effectively against various enemies.
