Metal Slug 5

Metal Slug 5 is a fast-paced side-scrolling run-and-gun game where your objective is to survive each stage, defeat all enemies, and rescue POWs for bonus points and weapon upgrades. You control a soldier who can run, jump, crouch, and throw grenades.

The core gameplay loop involves advancing through levels filled with enemy soldiers, vehicles, and environmental hazards while collecting a variety of powerful weapons like the Heavy Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher, and Flame Shot. Early in a run, focus on learning enemy patterns and conserving your special weapons for tougher encounters.

The middle sections often introduce new enemy types and vehicles, requiring quick reflexes and smart use of grenades to clear crowds. Tense moments, especially during boss fights, demand constant movement to avoid projectiles and careful aiming to hit weak points.
