Guide Rayman through vibrant 2D side-scrolling levels to defeat the Robo-Pirates and Hoodlums. Your primary objectives are to rescue captured Teensies and collect Lums scattered throughout each stage. Use the directional pad to run and crouch, and press the jump button to leap across platforms. Pressing and holding the jump button in mid-air activates Rayman's helicopter hair, allowing you to hover safely over deadly pits and hazards. To combat enemies, press the attack button to throw Rayman's telescopic fist, which can be charged for a more powerful strike.

As you progress, look for special power-up bottles that grant temporary abilities, such as the Super Helicopter for vertical flight or the Heavy Metal Fist to break through solid barriers. In tense moments, coordinate your jumps and hover timing to navigate fast-moving obstacles and avoid instant-death hazards. Focus on exploring hidden pathways in the early stages to build up your life count, and save your charged attacks for larger enemies and bosses that require precise timing to defeat.
