The objective of Street Hoop is to defeat your opponents in 2-on-2 basketball matches, scoring more points before time runs out. You control one player on the court, with the computer or a second player controlling your teammate.
Moment-to-moment play involves dribbling, passing, and shooting, but the game emphasizes flashy moves like alley-oop passes and powerful dunks. A power meter builds up as you play, allowing you to perform special shots that are harder to block.
Early in a match, focus on learning your players' strengths and building your power meter with successful passes and steals. As the game progresses, use your power moves strategically to break through the opponent's defense.
In tense moments, especially when trailing, prioritize stealing the ball and attempting high-percentage shots or triggering a powerful special move to close the gap. Defense is key; time your jumps to block shots and disrupt the opposing team's rhythm.
If the keyboard does not respond, click the game screen first and check the actual key mappings in the player controls. Arrow keys scrolling the page can mean the game does not have input focus.
On a phone, check whether the player provides touch buttons. Try landscape or fullscreen if the controls are too small. After connecting a gamepad, press a button with the game focused and check whether the player recognizes it.
For a black screen or a stalled load, wait briefly before using Reload player or Browse games in the embedded player or play page. Reloading restarts the player and may lose unsaved progress. If no save option is available, do not rely on refreshing to preserve progress.
