Tenchu: Dark Secret

In Tenchu: Dark Secret, your primary objective is to complete missions by stealthily navigating environments, avoiding detection, and assassinating targets. The core gameplay loop involves using the touch screen to manage your inventory, select tools like shurikens and smoke bombs, and perform stealth kills.

Movement is controlled with the D-pad, and you must stay in the shadows, use rooftops, and time your actions to remain unseen. A key mechanic is the 'Tension Gauge' which indicates your visibility and alert level; keeping it low is crucial for success.

In the early stages, focus on learning patrol patterns and mastering silent takedowns. As you progress, you'll face more complex missions requiring strategic use of gadgets and environmental interactions.

During tense moments, such as being spotted, you can either engage in combat or use a smoke bomb to escape and re-establish stealth. The game rewards patience and precision over brute force.
