Your primary goal in Top Gear Rally 2 is to win races across multiple championships. Moment-to-moment play involves navigating winding, off-road tracks while managing your car's handling on different surfaces like dirt, snow, and asphalt.
Use the control stick to steer and the A button for acceleration. The B button is used for braking, and the Z trigger activates a handbrake for sharp turns.
A beginner should focus on learning the braking points for corners and avoiding collisions with track-side objects, as damage will slow you down. In the early stages, concentrate on finishing races cleanly to earn money for car upgrades.
The challenge rhythm is defined by mastering each track's unique layout and adapting to changing weather, which affects traction. During tense moments, such as a close final lap, prioritize smooth driving over aggressive speed to maintain control and secure victory.
If the keyboard does not respond, click the game screen first and check the actual key mappings in the player controls. Arrow keys scrolling the page can mean the game does not have input focus.
On a phone, check whether the player provides touch buttons. Try landscape or fullscreen if the controls are too small. After connecting a gamepad, press a button with the game focused and check whether the player recognizes it.
For a black screen or a stalled load, wait briefly before using Reload player or Browse games in the embedded player or play page. Reloading restarts the player and may lose unsaved progress. If no save option is available, do not rely on refreshing to preserve progress.
