Opens the game player in a new browser tab.
In Yoshi's Egg, you control Yoshi at the bottom of the screen as various eggs and enemies fall from above. Your primary goal is to catch the falling eggs with Yoshi's tongue and stack them vertically to form complete rows.
When you create a solid row of eggs from one side of the screen to the other, that row will disappear, and you'll earn points. Be careful to avoid catching the enemy characters like Shy Guys and Piranha Plants, as they will cause you to lose a life if they reach the bottom.
The game progressively increases in speed, requiring quicker reflexes and strategic egg placement to prevent the stack from reaching the top. Focus on creating multiple row clears at once for higher scores and try to maintain a relatively even stack height across the playing field to avoid creating dangerous gaps that are hard to fill.
If the keyboard does not respond, click the game screen first and check the actual key mappings in the player controls. Arrow keys scrolling the page can mean the game does not have input focus.
On a phone, check whether the player provides touch buttons. Try landscape or fullscreen if the controls are too small. After connecting a gamepad, press a button with the game focused and check whether the player recognizes it.
For a black screen or a stalled load, wait briefly before using Reload player or Browse games in the embedded player or play page. Reloading restarts the player and may lose unsaved progress. If no save option is available, do not rely on refreshing to preserve progress.
