Play Xuan-Yuan Sword II Online

Xuan-Yuan Sword II is DOMO Studio and Softstar’s 1994 DOS role-playing game. He Ran, Yang Kunshuo and Jiang Ruhong travel through a mythic world divided by conflict between humans and monsters.

The sequel expands the ideas of the first Xuan-Yuan Sword into a fuller adventure with party-based battles, elemental relationships and several categories of special techniques. Its story follows He Ran after the earlier game’s events.

The Lianyao Pot becomes both a story object and a game system: weakened enemies can be captured, then combined outside battle. The browser page covers the DOS-era title; features in the modern Steam release should not automatically be assumed here.

Check the DOS keyboard controls, then speak with characters and explore each accessible route. Review the menu descriptions before spending health, technique points or materials on special abilities.

Learn the elemental relationships used by attacks and enemies. A technique that performs well in one encounter may be a poor choice against a different affinity.

After obtaining the Lianyao Pot, weaken an enemy before attempting to capture it. Save before experimenting with combinations, because the result and level requirements may not suit the current party.
